BACHELOR´S AND MASTER´S THESES, FINAL THESES, DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS AND HIGHER DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS IN MUSICOLOGY DEFENDED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC (CZECHOSLOVAK SOCIALISTIC REPUBLIC, CZECH AND SLOVAK FEDERAL REPUBLIC) 1974-1996

Božena Felgrová

The presented bibliography attempts to continue, in its content and form, PhDr. Stanislav Tesař´s "Diploma, dissertation and higher doctorate these in Musicology defended in the Czech Republic in 1945-1973" published in Hudební věda [Musicology] in 1976, Vol. 3, pp. 257-286. Therefore it comprises three sections: the first section maps final, bachelor´s, master´s and lower doctorate theses, the second section maps candidate, doctoral, and higher doctoral theses, the third section consists of the Index. However, the work covers only departments (institutions) of Musicology at Faculties of Arts and the Professional Committee for Music Theory and Music History at the Czechoslovak Academy of Science. Another difference between this bibliography and that of PhDr. Stanislav Tesař is the inclusion of final theses by postgraduates or re-qualification studies, and since 1990 the new bachelor´s theses. On the other hand, the new bibliography does not include any references to any other data about the works cited, e. g. proceedings where they were published.
