PT - JOURNAL ARTICLE AU - Jakubcová, Alena TI - FROM PRAGUE TO THE NORTHERN EMPIRE BORDER. WAYS OF THEATRE DIRECTORS AND THEIR REPERTOIRE IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 18th CENTURY DP - 1998 Jun 11 TA - Musicologica Olomucensia PG - 155--159 VI - 4 IP - 1 IS - 27879186 AB - The significant mobility of theatre people and theatre companies which constituted the basis of theatre productions often caused displacement and disappearance of sources, above all the performing scores. The musical shape of the Prague Italian opera is then mostly inaccessible. In the Brunswick Theater Collection Prague opera scores were identified, proving the continuous contacts between the towns. It is possible to find and describe the routes of people and sources from Prague (or via Prague) to the North. Comparison between repertories, personalia and events of theatre life indicate many connected facts, which call for continued research.
