Písňový skladatel Zdeněk Fibich?

Jméno Zdeňka Fibicha (1850–1900) je jen výjimečně spojováno s vokální tvorbou. Daleko častěji jej můžeme vidět ve spojení s operou a melodramem, a to i přes fakt, že po celou dobu své skladatelské činnosti hojně komponoval písně. Jeho vokální tvorba sestává z více než dvou set písní převážně na německé, v menší míře pak české texty. Nejhojněji komponoval na texty dvou německých klasiků: Heinricha Heineho a Johanna Wolfganga von Goetha. A právě písně na Goethovy texty jsou těžištěm předkládané studie.
Zdeněk Fibich komponoval na Goethovu poezii mezi lety 1865 a 1873. V těchto pro Fibicha studijních letech vzniklo patnáct jednohlasých písní, tři duety, dvě sborové skladby a hudba k dramatu Clavigo. K dnešnímu dni se dochovalo pouze deset jednohlasých písní a duet O tobě sním (Hud. 172/7). Tyto skladby, s výjimkou zmíněného duetu, zůstávaly do nedávné doby pouze v autografu. Aktuální studie blíže představuje vybrané písně za účelem charakterizovat Fibichův raný kompoziční jazyk a zároveň poukázat na inspirace německými skladateli, zejména pak Franzem Schubertem a Robertem Schumannem.

Zdeněk Fibich as a Song Composer?

The composer Zdeněk Fibich (1850–1900) is seldom associated with vocal compositions. More often is expressed Fibich’s affinity with opera and melodrama even though he set songs throughout his career. Fibich set to music more than two hundred German and Czech texts. Songs to poetry by Heinrich Heine and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe were created the most. Thus songs to Goethe’s poems are the core of the study.
Fifteen solo songs, three duets, two choral works, and the incidental music Clavigo were written during Fibich’s study period from 1865 to 1873. Only ten solo songs and the duet O tobě sním (I Dream about You, Hud. 172/7) have survived up to day. These compositions, with the exception of the duet, remained only in the autograph until two years ago when the first publication was issued. The study introduces selected songs in order to characterise Fibich’s early compositional language as well as to highlight inspirations by German composers, namely Franz Schubert and Robert Schumann.
